How the number becomes a price

Gold value first. Making charges and GST are said to your face.

Gold is priced by weight and by the day's rate. Making charges are quoted per piece at the counter, because they depend on the work in it. GST is 3 percent, charged on the gold and the making charge together. Nothing is added after the bill.

This is the gold, not the bill. The bill is the gold value, plus the making charge for that piece, plus 3 percent GST on both together. We will not print a total here that turns out to be lower than the one at the counter. Ask us and we will send the full figure for any piece on WhatsApp before you come.

Purity is shown on every piece. On hallmarked gold the HUID is engraved on the article, and you can verify it at any BIS recognised Assaying and Hallmarking Centre.

Polki, kundan and pieces under two grams sit outside hallmarking. We say so on each one rather than badge the whole shop.

  1. Purity is marked on every piece. Hallmarked gold carries a six character HUID you can check yourself in the BIS Care app.
  2. The rate on this page is the rate at the counter, stamped with the weekday and time it was written. See today's stamp.
  3. Weight, making charges and GST at 3 percent are said before the bill is printed. Nothing is added after.
  4. Old gold is weighed and purity tested in front of you and credited at the day's 22K counter rate. How it is valued.
  5. Both sides of a piece are photographed when you ask. Turn one over.
